Fiverr rating calculator
Enter your current average rating, how many reviews you have, and the target you want. The calculator shows the lowest rating your next review can carry without dropping below the target, and how many 5-star reviews bring you back after a recent low rating. It runs entirely in your browser and sends no data anywhere.
Your rating plan
Based on the current average, review count, target, and the optional recent rating.
- Lowest rating your next review can carry
- 5 stars
- Consecutive 5-star reviews to return to target
- 0
A 5-star review keeps your average at or above 4.90. A lower rating drops it below the target.
Including a 5-star recent review, your average stays at or above 4.90, so no further 5-star reviews are needed.
How the rating math works
Your displayed average is the sum of every star rating divided by the number of reviews. From your current average and review count, your current total is: current average multiplied by number of reviews.
When one new review arrives, the new average is (current total plus new rating) divided by (number of reviews plus one). Solving that for the new rating gives the lowest star rating that still meets your target. If that value is above 5, even a 5-star review leaves you below the target.
To recover after a recent rating, the calculator adds that rating to your total and then adds consecutive 5-star reviews until the average reaches the target. It reports how many are needed, or says plainly when the target cannot be reached.
This is arithmetic on star ratings only. Buyers and Fiverr both act on the average the platform displays. Fiverr sets its own seller levels and Top Rated criteria and can change them, so confirm the current requirements in Fiverr's own help center.
Fiverr rating questions
How is a Fiverr rating average calculated?
Fiverr shows the average of the star ratings you have received. The average is the sum of all ratings divided by the number of reviews, so each new review shifts it by a smaller amount as your review count grows.
What does the lowest next rating mean?
It is the lowest star rating your next review can carry while keeping your average at or above your target. The calculator rounds that value up to a whole star and caps it between one and five.
Why can some targets be impossible to reach?
A perfect 5.00 average needs every review to be five stars. If your target is 5.00 and your current average is below it, no number of five-star reviews can bring the average back to 5.00, so the calculator says so.
Is this the same as Fiverr's seller level rules?
No. This page is arithmetic on star ratings only. Fiverr sets its own seller levels, Top Rated criteria, and quality rules, and those can change, so confirm the current requirements in Fiverr's own help center.
