Fiverr pending funds: when money clears
Fiverr does not release earnings the moment an order completes. Every payment enters a safety clearance period before it becomes available for withdrawal, and the dashboard shows exactly where each amount sits in that pipeline.
This guide walks through each money state Fiverr publishes, what triggers the transitions between them, and the common situations that can extend a hold. It sticks to the platform's own wording and does not invent fixed timelines.

The five money states Fiverr publishes
Fiverr's Earnings page organizes every transaction into a handful of states. The labels you see in the Activity table — Clearing, Earning, Earnings Reversed, Compensation, Expense, Withdrawal, Withdrawal failed, Cash Advance payment — map to a simpler lifecycle: pending, clearing, available, withdrawn, and held.
Pending covers payments for active orders that have not yet completed. Clearing covers completed orders still inside the safety window. Available (shown as "Balance available for use") is what you can spend on Fiverr services or withdraw. Withdrawn marks a completed transfer to your payout method. Held means something — a dispute, a refund request, an account action — has paused the normal flow.
- Pending: active orders not yet completed; future payments not yet in clearance.
- Clearing: completed orders inside the safety window; not yet withdrawable.
- Available: cleared funds you can spend or withdraw immediately.
- Withdrawn: funds sent to your linked payout method; transaction final.
- Held: funds paused by a dispute, refund review, or account restriction.
Standard clearance windows as Fiverr publishes them
Fiverr's Payment Terms state the standard clearance period is 14 days after an order is marked complete. For Top Rated Sellers, the window shortens to 7 days. Hourly contracts follow a different rule: funds clear 7 days after the Weekly Report is generated, not after each delivery.
Tips operate on a separate 14-day clearance that starts when the tip is paid, independent of the original order's timeline. The Earnings page lists tips as their own Clearing line items so you can track them separately.
| Order type | Clearance trigger | Published window |
|---|---|---|
| Standard order | Order marked complete | 14 days |
| Top Rated Seller order | Order marked complete | 7 days |
| Hourly contract | Weekly Report generated | 7 days |
| Tip | Tip payment received | 14 days |
What extends a hold beyond the standard window
A hold is not the same as the normal clearance countdown. Fiverr's Payment Terms note that completed orders may be canceled by Customer Support review up to 14 days after completion (7 days for Hourly Weekly Reports). If a buyer requests a refund or files a dispute during the clearance window, the funds stay in Clearing or move to Held until the case resolves.
Late delivery changes can also affect the timeline. When an order goes Very Late and is force-canceled, the Order Completion Rate is affected and the funds never enter your balance. A common mistake sellers make is treating the 14-day mark as a guarantee — it is a baseline that assumes no disputes, refunds, or account actions intervene.
Buyer opens a dispute or refund request
funds pause in Clearing or move to Held.
Customer Support reviews a completed order
up to 14 days (7 for Hourly) after completion.
Account restriction or suspension
available and pending clearance funds remain accessible for 60 days, then shift to the 90-day disabled-account process.
Chargeback filed
disputed amount held from upcoming or cleared balance; resolution can take 45+ days after a favorable decision.
Reading the Earnings dashboard signals
The Activity table is the authoritative view. Each row shows a type (Clearing, Earning, Withdrawal, etc.), the amount, the date, and the order reference. "Future payments" at the top summarizes active orders that will enter clearance once completed, plus cleared orders about to become available.
Watch for "Current Overdraft" — it appears when you have withdrawn funds before an order completed or used Fiverr services that draw on unpaid earnings. An overdraft does not block withdrawals of truly available funds, but it signals that part of your balance is already committed.
- Clearing rows = money still in the safety window; count days from the completion date shown.
- Earning rows = the original credit from an order, extra, or tip; they move to Clearing on completion.
- Withdrawal rows = completed transfers; check the provider's transfer time (1–7 business days).
- Earnings Reversed = a refund, cancellation, or chargeback pulled money back.
- Compensation = Fiverr-issued credit (rare); follows its own clearance if applicable.
Disabled accounts: the 90-day withdrawal rule
If an account is permanently suspended, Fiverr publishes a distinct withdrawal path. After a 90-calendar-day safety period from the disable date, Fiverr emails a one-time withdrawal link valid for approximately seven days. The link requires full ownership verification. If the balance is below the provider's minimum (for example, $20 for Payoneer Bank Transfer), the funds cannot be withdrawn.
During a 60-day restriction (the intermediate step before permanent suspension), you can still communicate with existing clients on active orders and withdraw available or pending clearance funds. The restriction lifts to permanent suspension automatically after 60 days unless an appeal succeeds.
Illustrative timeline: a standard order from delivery to withdrawal
Consider a $100 standard order delivered on Day 1 and auto-completed on Day 4 (three-day auto-completion). The 14-day clearance starts on Day 4. On Day 18 the funds move from Clearing to Available. You request a PayPal withdrawal that same day; Fiverr's help center states PayPal transfers take up to 24 hours. The money lands in your PayPal account on Day 19.
If the same order were for a Top Rated Seller, the 7-day clearance would make funds available on Day 11, with withdrawal landing on Day 12. These are illustrative dates based on Fiverr's published windows; actual calendar days vary with weekends, holidays, and provider processing.
When a support ticket is warranted
If funds remain in Clearing past the published window for your seller level and order type, and no dispute or refund is open, a support ticket with the order number and a screenshot of the Activity row is the right step. Fiverr's support cannot shorten the published clearance, but they can investigate a stuck transaction.
Do not open a ticket simply because the calendar shows 14 days — count from the completion date shown in the Activity table, not from delivery. Weekends and holidays do not pause the clearance countdown per Fiverr's published terms.
Where Seller OS helps
Seller OS surfaces your order context — deadlines, delivery dates, client history — in a local dashboard so you can cross-reference the Earnings Activity table without switching tabs. The Pro monitors (Pro plan) include a deadline guard that alerts you when an order is approaching Very Late, which helps you avoid the force-cancellation path that never produces clearable funds.
It does not accelerate clearance, override holds, or guarantee withdrawal timing. It only organizes the data you already see on Fiverr so the follow-up you send to support is precise and evidence-backed.

Fiverr Pending Funds questions
Why are my Fiverr funds stuck in pending?
Pending usually means the order has not yet completed. Once the order is marked complete, the funds move to Clearing for the safety window (14 days standard, 7 days for Top Rated, 7 days after Weekly Report for Hourly). Check the Activity table for the completion date and count from there.
How long does Fiverr take to clear funds?
Fiverr publishes 14 days after completion for standard orders, 7 days for Top Rated Sellers, and 7 days after the Weekly Report for Hourly contracts. Tips clear on a separate 14-day clock from the tip payment date. Disputes, refunds, or account actions can extend the hold.
Can I withdraw money while it is still clearing?
No. Only funds shown as "Balance available for use" can be withdrawn. Clearing funds are not yet available. The Early Payout feature lets eligible Top Rated and Seller Plus Premium freelancers access clearing funds early for a 1% fee, but it has its own eligibility rules.
What happens to my funds if my account gets banned?
Fiverr holds funds for 90 calendar days after a permanent suspension, then sends a one-time withdrawal link after verifying ownership. During a 60-day restriction you can still withdraw available and pending clearance funds. If the balance is below the provider's minimum, the funds cannot be withdrawn.
